Join us as we gather in The Lodge Lounge to watch the best of the best go for the green…jacket that is…at the 2010 Masters. We’ll enjoy each other’s company with great food, including T-time Turtle Pie & Bogey Brownies, as we root on our favorite players.

Behind THE Green Jacket
1937 – Members at Augusta National begin to wear Green Jackets. Sam Snead plays in his first of 44 consecutive Tournaments.
1939 – Tournament officially named the Masters.
1949 - Back-to-back 67s in the final two rounds propelled Sam Snead to a three-stroke victory. That year the Green Jacket was first awarded to the Masters champion (Sam Snead was the recipient).
1952 – Battling strong winds the final two days, Sam Snead won his second Masters title, this one by four strokes over Jack Burke.
1954 - Sam Snead defeated Ben Hogan 70-71 in an 18-hole playoff to win his third Green Jacket. Snead’s score of 289 remains tied for the highest winning score in Masters history.
1960 - First Par 3 Contest and won by Sam Snead. The Par 3 Contest has become a Wednesday tradition at the Masters.
2002 - Sam Snead serves as Honorary Starter, then dies one month later.
