Larry Klein, the General Manager of The Greenbrier Sporting Club, updates this summer’s calendar of events which features the popular Summer Concert Series and the exciting lineup for Labor Day Weekend.

THURSDAY 8/28:
EVENT: Lija 2009 Showcase (Member/Guest)
Featuring: Lija 2009 Golf Line
Where: White Rock Room at Sporting Club Lodge
Time: 3-5pm


Shop the 2009 Lija line along with Aerogreen Golf shoes.
Meet & Mingle with other golfers and enjoy light refreshments.


FRIDAY 8/29:
EVENT: The Greenbrier Sporting Club Golf Shop Is Hosting a Cashmere, Chocolates, & Champagne Trunk Show (Member/Guest)
Featuring: Peter Millar Trunk Show
Where: White Rock Room at Sporting Club Lodge
Time: 5-8pm


Come shop for your fall wordrobe,as well as your fill your Xmas shopping lists.
Great colors, timeless pieces.

SATURDAY 8/30:
EVENT: Equestrian Style
Where: The Greenbrier Sporting Club Equestrian Center
Time: 2-4pm
Details:

* Meet Vicky Moon, author of Equestrian Style: Home Design, Couture and Collections from the Eclectic to the Elegant, and enjoy a unique opportunity to hear her discuss her latest book, answer your questions and purchase a signed copy of her book.
* Browse “Equestrian Styled” fine home décor provided by Old White Interiors.
* Get acquainted with the Sporting Club’s most beloved four-legged residents, including Knight of Mine and his fellow stable mates. Our Equestrian Professionals will tell you about Knight about Mine’s storied past as the descendant of some extremely famous racehorses, including Triple Crown winner Seattle Slew and how he came to make his home at the Sporting Club (kids will enjoy getting up close to our 3 miniature burros)
* Enjoy light refreshments and more. Then complete your day with a tour of a luxury Sporting Club home. (tours depart stables – please sign up).

EVENT: Putting & Chipping competition
Where: The Greenbrier Sporting Club Snead Driving Range
Golf Competition Time: 3-5pm
Details: Join Golf Professional Robbie Gilmore and enjoy a friendly Putting & Chipping competition. (fun prizes and awards)


EVENT: On Par Reception Time: 4-6pm
Details: After an afternoon of walking the greens, enjoy some light hor’s d’oeuvres and cocktails on The Snead’s driving range. Learn about The Snead, it’s history and how it could be the site of your new home.


EVENT: Member/Guest Labor Day Pool Party Picnic
