LEWISBURG, WV. The Lewisburg Garden Clubs Homes Tour reveals the many ways homeowners show their pride of place in the Greenbrier Valley. The 2008 31st tour invites visitors into two historic homes, two modern homes, a cottage at The Greenbrier and a 12,000 square foot Mission-inspired year-round home at the Greenbrier Sporting Club.

The tour welcomes visitors on June 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“This year’s home tour is especially exciting,” Tour Chair Barbara “Bobbi” Hoffman said. “We truly are showing off Lewisburg in all its variety, with something old, something new, and always, with a Greenbrier view.”

The historic homes are in downtown Lewisburg. The Greenbrier cottage is on the grounds of The Greenbrier. The Mission-style home is in the Greenbrier Sporting Club. In between are a ranch and a Georgian home with a formal English garden.

“All proceeds will be used for civic projects,” Hoffman said. “These include maintaining the Confederate Cemetery, the paintings and island gardens that welcome guests to Lewisburg, the elementary school sunflower project, and the flower boxes and hanging baskets that brighten Washington Street.”

Come tour Lewisburg homes on June 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
