Chris Widen, Sales Executive Chris Widen, Sales Executive

Chris joins The Greenbrier Sporting Club in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia after seven years as a sales executive in luxury real estate where his top closing sale was a $3.2 million penthouse in Miami. Two years with IMI, specifically living in the Caribbean on the island of Tortola, British Virgin Islands and five years with Keyes Company Real Estate. Prior to his real estate experience, Chris spent some time with the US Coast Guard Marine Safety Office in Miami, Florida. He then worked with the Sports Marketing department for agent Mitch Frankel of Impact Sports in Boca Raton. He also spent two years in sponsorship sales on the FedEx Orange Bowl Committee in Miami.

Originally from Worcester, Massachusetts, Chris attended a four-year military school, Massachusetts Maritime Academy at Buzzards Bay where he graduated in 1996 with a degree in Environmental Science. He went on to achieve his MBA with a focus on Sports Marketing at Lynn University in Boca Raton in 2001.

Chris came to The Greenbrier for his first visit on July 18-20 of this year and fell in love with The Greenbrier and the opportunity the Sporting Club had to offer. Packed up the car two weeks later and drove 15 hours straight to White Sulphur Springs. He finds West Virginia to be oddly similiar to his Caribbean tour of duty, nice people, lots of outdoor activities and mountain views. He doesn’t have much use now for his mask, fins, snorkel or his sailboat knot tying skills, but he can’t wait to truly experience all the activities that the mountain state has to offer.

Chris can be reached at cwiden@gbrsc.com, 304-536-7770 (direct office line) or 954-401-9970.
