Harold Charles Continues Association with Turks & Caicos Sporting Club at Ambergris Cay


June 9, 2008 –Ambergris Cay, Turks & Caicos, BWI – Turks & Caicos Sporting Club at Ambergris Cay is pleased to announce that Mr. Harold Charles has been named Vice President of Ambergris Cay Partnership. In this role he will act as liaison for local and Government affairs and serve as a direct advisor to Turks & Caicos Sporting Club at Ambergris Cay.


Mr. Charles has been a part of Turks & Caicos Sporting Club at Ambergris Cay as well as Ambergris Cay Partnership since inception, working closely with DPS Sporting Club to develop the private island residential community. He is the President/CEO of SkyKing (winner of the 2005 Osprey Award for best domestic airline and offering a premium air service for passengers traveling between the Islands and within the Caribbean region), and its sister companies operating at Providenciales International Airport including Professional Flight Services (which provides commercial / heavy jet ground handling to international carriers such as Air Canada, British Airways, Delta and US Airways) and the SkyBase FBO (which provides executive jet and general aviation aircraft ground handling at a private facility).

Born in Haiti, Mr. Charles moved to the Turks & Caicos Islands in 1974 and despite humble beginnings, his determination to succeed lifted him up to become a successful entrepreneur, Turks & Caicos Islands 2002 Businessperson of the Year, recipient of the 2006 Glass Ceiling Award in Nassau, Bahamas and the 2008 National Pride Award from the Embassy of Haiti in Washington DC, as well as being a prominent community leader and benefactor.
