The Greenbrier Wins 2008 Gold Tee Award
Meetings & Conventions magazine recently announced that The Greenbrier had earned their 2008 Gold Tee Award.
This highly-respected award is given annually to outstanding golf/meeting properties worldwide. Winners of the Gold Tee Award were nominated and selected by the readers of M&C based on their overall excellence.
“We are honored to be recognized by the readers of M&C. As meeting planners, they appreciate the value of properties such as The Greenbrier that provide outstanding service and facilities,” said Jerry A. Wayne, vice president of sales and marketing for The Greenbrier.
“For groups who choose to incorporate golf into their meetings, we can provide a complete turn-key operation. We have knowledgeable professionals who can assist with every component of a successful tournament including operations, scoring and prizes,” added Robert Harris, director of sports and recreation for The Greenbrier.
74 domestic and 10 offshore/international golf properties earned enough votes to win the Gold Tee Award in 2008.
“The meeting industry’s most well-regarded critics, the readers of M&C, have made their selections for the best in the world. M&C’s core readership, of over 70,000 corporate, incentive and association meeting planners, know quality when they experience it and again have made their votes count, selecting golf properties they believed to be outstanding,” stated Bernard W. Schraer, Meetings & Conventions Group Publisher. “Our entire staff salutes the properties that have distinguished themselves in this industry and earned the Gold Tee honor.”
