March 17th, 2008

On March 5-7, 2008, DPS proudly supported the third installation of The Design Leadership Summit in Charleston, S.C. which brought together over 130 principals of the country’s leading architecture and design firms. For three days of inspirational and experiential conventions and discussions, design greats like Campion Platt, Tom Filicia, Charlotte Moss, Suzanne Kasler, and David Easton, shared ideas and discussed with presenters such as Anita Elberse from Harvard Business School, and Paul Goldberger, Architectural Critic of The New Yorker.
DPS’ Peter Pollak and Mimi Crume attended the annual gathering working to expand the dialogue and connections among the design industry’s leaders. The conference’s chosen theme, “Inspiring Ourselves,” brought leaders in the industry including Architectural Digest Editor-in- Chief, Paige Rense forward to share their expertise. During Wednesday’s welcome dinner, the entire group was greeted by and The Mayor of Charleston, Joseph P. Riley, Jr., who has served in this position for over 32 years.
DPS’ partnered Architect and Interior Designer, Campion Platt (currently working on both The Greenbrier Sporting Club and Turks & Caicos Sporting Club at Ambergris Cay) joined both Pollak and Crume for the series of events culminating at a dinner in the renowned National Trust property at Drayton Hall. As a gift to each member of the conference and as a sign of commitment to design and heritage, DPS Sporting Club Development presented each attendee with a yearlong Membership to both Drayton Hall and The National Trust.
DPS Sporting Club Development looks forward to a long partnership with The Design Leadership Summit and their founders, Design Investors, LLC, and Granet & Associates.
