The Hunting:
This year the optional pheasant hunt will again be at Stoney Brook Plantation. We had great growing conditions this summer, the fields are thick and the pheasants are running wild. There are lots of birds around and the early release program has really paid off. Stoney Brook has a kennel full of great dogs that are just waiting to get you into some birds. All hunters have their own gun to hunt with. Ammunition will be available if requested in advance.

The Sporting Clays:
We will begin the morning with lessons and warm-ups, this is your chance to learn from the instructors and practice for the afternoon tournament. We will shoot primarily on the sporting clays course through the morning, using this time to identify the targets that are giving us trouble and learn how to break them. After lunch we will shoot a 100 target tournament to determine this year’s winner.

The 3 Gun:
A 3 Gun is an exciting shooting sport that requires speed and accuracy with handguns, as well as tactical rifles and shotguns. We will be hosting this year’s event at the PFT range in Alderson, WV. It is a short 20 minute ride from GSC to the range. All ammo and guns will be provided for this shoot. If you have a favorite rifle, pistol or tactical shotgun and you want to use that please bring it. Just let us know if you will need ammo.


The tournament will be a good one this year, the past few years have seen some close scores and great shooting. The field looks to be wide open for 2010 so it’s anyone’s guess who will be our top shot. Guns, ammunition, hearing and eye protection will be available to everyone shooting at The Gun Club on Saturday the 13th.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 12th:
12:30 pm Meet at The Hunt Cabin to go to Stoney Brook for Pheasant Hunt
4:30 pm Return from Stoney Brook
6:30 pm Cocktails and Canapés at The Hunt Cabin


SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 13th:
8:30 am Meet at The Gun Club for Coffee and Danish
9:00 am Shooting Begins
12:30 pm Lunch at The Lodge
2:00 pm Tournament Begins
4:30 pm Days Events Conclude Prizes and Standings


SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 14th:
8:30 am Meet at The Hunt Cabin to leave for 3 Gun
9:00 am Start 3 Gun
12:00 pm Return to The Hunt Cabin
12:30 pm Days Events Conclude

2010 COSTS:
$250++ / shooter for Sporting Clays
(Price includes cocktails on Friday, shooting and lunch on Saturday)


ADD-ON COSTS:
$350++ for Pheasant Hunt on Friday**
$250++ for 3 Gun on Sunday.
